Starting a New Document

The blank document is defined with generic settings that are appropriate for a variety of uses; it has single-spaced 11 point text and standard margins if 1” on all sides.




Creating a Blank Document

1. Open the Office Menu.










2. Click New.















3. In the New Document dialog box, click Blank Document.















4. Click Create.














Creating a Blank Document Based on a Template

1. Open the Office Menu.










2. Click New.















3. In the New Document dialog box, click Installed Templates.














4. Scroll through the list and make a selection.

5. Click Create.















Saving a Document

1. Click the Save button on the Quick Access Toolbar.

2. Press Ctrl+S.

3. Open the Office menu and click Save.



Using Cut, Copy and Paste

Cut – It is used to remove the selection from the document and places it on the clipboard, which is a hidden holding area.

Copy – Leaves the selection as is and places a copy of it on the clipboard.

Paste – After a Cut or Copy operation, you can then use Paste to place the clipboard’s content at the insertion point.



Using Paste Options

Keep Source Formatting – the object retains its look from its original location.

Match Destination Formatting – the object is stripped of any previous formatting and the formatting of the new location is applied.

Keep Text Only – the object is stripped of any previous formatting and remains stripped in a new location.Set 

Default Paste – this opens the Word Options dialog box and displays the Advanced options.



Using the Office Clipboard

Clipboard - allows you to copy multiple text and graphical items from Office documents or other programs and paste them into another Office document.

i really don't know how to use the office clipboard. because you can actually use the cut, copy, paste manually. thanks to this blog.. now i can paste the text and images i want without manually pasting one by one.

oh, i really i don't know that there are many installed templates in MS Word 2007, i always did my resume in a blank document, thank for this blog.. i have an instant pattern next time if im going to make a new resume.
